What is it with landing on the Train Yard?

I hope I got the name of location right, it is the one where you can land on the wagons that float in the air, if you are lucky, then zip-line between them. 

I don't get why people are so attracted to it? Loot is meh, and usually it ends up in a massive fight with a death and -24 after said death. Very rare is when I survive the trainyard with randos. Any tips? :D I could just run off away from it, but a lot of the times i am very disappointing to hear: "I am down, need a medic", "I am down, but still alive". So, how do you survive this place if your jumpmaster insist on going there?
