What is it with leaving while in a loot session?

Atleast 50% of my games a member of the team while busy looting just randomly decides to leave.

No one died, no firefight has occurred and we are just looting in the beginning of the match and than just leaves.

What is up with that man???  

on a side note, is there going to be a leaving penalty like any other team based game when leaving?
