What's the point of playing ranked? And Apex in general...

Like.... you have these unlimited amount of people, alongside with me.

Where... we were like "high ranks".

For example I reached Plat one time when I played alot, and that rank is not easy to reach just by surviving you know..

And now whre am I? In bronze, because rank that degrades so fast you have to play the game every single day, is really good system............

And I am not complaining about anything, it's just I don't find it fair. (for the other players)

I  get paired with guys who get instadowned, so I come help them only to get headshoted from like 200+ meters.

Remember this is in bronze rank, and the game literally just started it's not like the guy already had a fully kitted sniper rifle....

I don't even think it was rifle I think it was Wingman.

But like, I would expect that kind of skill in high ranks, not in * bronze man.....

Other times you get destroyed by some Wraith main who seems to be good at dodging....

Like not just normal straifing, I bet it would be easier to manually operate a Rocket going to space, than shooting that Wraith's face..

And once again - this is not even a decent rank.... it's bronze rank and bronze has moves that I would expect from a Gold or a Plat player...

But noooooo, he is bronze... and he is here with me for some reason..  (its definetly not because full rank resets are completely good thing for a ranked gamemode)

It's like (I bet it's the main reason) people stopped caring, if the rank you gained gets literally set to day 0, what's the point of playing it like......

Isn't ranked suppost to be a more accurate skill based matchmaking that puts you with and against similarly skilled players?

If so, than why do I meet players I could outplay by standing still, while also meeting some movement gods that could snipe me from 1000 meters and never get hit by any of my shots even if I predicted them, in bronze? (movement like even up close they are just too good at dodging..)

And what's the point of playing unranked games? They are most likely just random teams assembled literally just like bronze so there is almost no difference what so ever....

Like I don't understand why someone finds it fun to play this game, like unless you have 1000s of hours into the game so you can have fun by killing everyone.

And 4k 300fps display so you don't need a scope to snipe someone from billion miles away.

Whats so fun about Apex that so many people play?

Like the only reason I would find Apex more fun than Fortnite is because when I shoot someone they either take damage or have to use ability, instead of building 1:1 replica of Microsoft Headquarters in Fortnite...

  • @damsonwhufndthis You don't have to play every single day to make it up into platinum. The reset is done with each season, it only happens once every split which is a couple of weeks. Seasons last for I think 90 days (3 months).

I enjoy the challenge of it, the fact that a good player has a KD of anything above 1.00.
  • @damsonwhufndthis If it's not fun, don't play it. I'm not trying to shut you down or anything, but genuinely? If it's not fun, you shouldn't waste your time trying to make it fun. Apex stopped being fun for me a really long time ago, and I barely play anymore. Honestly I'm just finishing up the badge for 75 daily challenges completed, and that's it for S8 for me. (Btw, you should check out Deep Rock Galactic if you want a good time.)

As for what Apex does right, Respawn did a really great job with combat. Fast-paced and interesting, and their respawning system solved a problem that other BRs didn't have an answer for yet, IE, "What do I do after I die?" as well as their ping system for players without mics. But now the big BRs have grabbed those features for themselves, so now the only thing that sets Apex apart is the combat. It lets players feel like they've got a chance to win in every circumstance, without the one and done feel of Warzone, and without the dizzying building contests of Fortnite.

@pastaclownI mean yeah, but I'd still appreciate at least some difficulty deviation, but that probably won't be a thing, because if you are unlucky enough, every first game of Apex you play no matter the rank will be against someone who seems to have mastered every single move in apex, because I can't see myself straifing in unpredictable pattern while also crough spamming in upredictable pattern while also shooting directly at head while also predicting movement while also being able to snipe through lot of obstacles in tiny little gap......

Again ths would be expected in any game if it was ranked and high elo, but in Apex you can expect this in pretty much any rank or gamemode...
