When do I get heirloom shards?

If I remember correctly you get an heirloom pack every 500 apex packs. So just for confirmation, I'm level 300, does that mean when I get to level 500 I will definitely get the heirloom shards?

@balmuser Someone has to pay for the game. I don’t mind giving them $30-50 here and there. The devs work hard to provide us with content we want. I’m not going to miss the money.. EA/their devs earned it. To me it’s no different than a cable TV subscription.

I’m even so foolish that I bought an in game friend a few xbox gift certificates for his B-day. Never met him in real life.. but, it was the only gift he received on his birthday and I knew that it would be. He has also had a challenging life to say the least. He’s also been a good friend.
