Why am I getting downed in a matter of 2 seconds, yet....

Okay, so this has been really bothering me for some time, because it doesn't make any logical sense.

Now I know a lot goes into TTK within the Gear (chest and helm) but there are times where I have a

Purple Chest, and at least a Blue Helm, and I will put pretty much almost a full clips worth of ammo

(mostly between two clips accounting for missed shots) and they don't die (them having same gear color

less) but then I get DRAINED 200 Health in a matter of a second? This isn't just me complaining, I've played

with HUNDREDS of random players, who have complained about the same thing.

Is it a problem with hit box registering actual damage to the enemy?

Is there something that I am doing wrong? (I literally aim at upper chest/head area for most damage capable)

What is the dealio here? Because it's getting to the point where its becoming so much of an annoyance that I

just close the game and play something else.

Yes you are all right , yesterday i got instant killed permanent with purple shield and at least purple  helmet . I have the same experience : i shoot a whole mag where at minimum 50% hit and nothing happens then i hear 1 or 2 shots and ion the statistics i should have been hit by 7 to 9 Bullets ... WHAT ?????

  • @itsNologyTTV To add to what others are saying, my best guess is the lag compensation.
Now, that could be because you're playing on a further ping site, which in turn plays the role of players not actually being where they seem to be by like 1 or 2 seconds so when you think you're hitting shots, they're actually missing.
Secondly, if you're wireless then you're at a huge disadvantage. Packet loss issues, sudden desync issues, etc...
Thirdly, it could just be that your aim is slightly worse than the enemies and they're getting the headshots more often than you. It could be their movement versus yours. There's so many factors that go into this. It's hard to identify the main problem.
What I can say is this... if you're not hard wired than make yourself hard wired if you can. I've noticed a significant difference when I did. I stopped lagging out in the middle of a fight unless it was server side. And movement is key, don't know if you're console or pc, but work on that daily and you'll hit more shots. I've found practicing crouch strafing behind small objects is a good way to practice. Now I mean Revenant behind a traffic cone kind of practice.... you wouldn't believe how well that works.... Best of luck to you and I hope this helps.

Some blame server performance when they possibly need to look at it as that user was just better and it showed as im the one who died. Certain guns can just melt people in a matter of a second. Even full body shots. Some people are just better they are quicker they have better movement. So many things can be discredited by these features. Shoot i watched Sweet other day drop someone in a pred lobby with only 2 shots of his flatline with anvil. As i said so many factors come to play with these type of things even things the user may of missed on his side of things.

  • @itsNologyTTV Record your gameplay, go back and watch it. Usually, you think u one clipped someone and maybe only did 112 damage. See, were they strafing, using cover, etc? Did you damage them (poke damage) before pushing?

Did they poke damage you without you healing before the 1v1? Did you expose yourself and not utilize cover? Etc.

Although no-reg does occasionally happen, usually you're just getting out played or making mistakes. Most often leaving yourself out in the open and being an easy target.

Record your gameplay and rewatch it, then you can answer your own questions.
