Why am I not improving in apex

Hey I'm just wondering why I'm not improving in apex in the way that I want to. I have been playing apex since season 6 and I have always wanted to do my best and improve in everything like in gun recoil, rotations, strafing and much more. I have watched basically almost every tutorial video to improve at dodging bullets use cover having good aim but even if I use it in my gameplay it doesn't seem to even affect anything and somehow I still get beamed. I will say that I do have good aim I can hit my shots pretty well and have almost mastered every recoil in the game could any one give me any tips on this? If I'm doing anything wrong or I'm missing something any help is appreciated.

    @InkBlaze02 From what you have said you have spent a lot of time learning how to kill people. That is really only half the game. The other half is understanding how to get out of fights and rotate/play the circle.

    @Cheese9Man Is it really that big of a deal? You're on a trident so I don't see it being that helpful.

    @hayhor in some places you might be useful as a decoy/scanner e.g. go into PIO with Trident, scan around and get out to the best possible positions. If combined with Gibby dome this is quite a secure way I guess to surprise campers 🙂

    Other than that indeed there is a big gimmicky effect.
  • @InkBlaze02 Are you recording and rewatching all your gameplay? This is #1 imo, so you can assess what you did wrong and train yourself to recognize your own habits.

    2nd, work smarter not harder. You shouldn't be trying to figure out how to out gun an enemy, but instead how to outsmart them. If you want to practice out gunning, then find a friend or teammate who is better than you, and ask them to run 1v1 practice in the range.

    This will help you with using cover, timing (i.e. letting enemy unload his clip, then timing your attack during his reload, knowing what gun their using, its reload times and times between shots, like 30-30 vs Sentinal, etc)

    In game, its about positioning, gaining an advantage. Knowing, how and when to poke damage. When to push, when to send. Also, NEVER STOP MOVING. Always be moving, relocating, strafing. Its hard to hit a fast moving target consistently.

    ACEU has been playing apex again. Check out his last few streams and see how he is always moving, utilizing cover, doors, timing, etc. He can outgun literally anyone, but that doesnt mean he pushed everyone and everything, especially in ranked.

    @CocoaHyena Quality tips there. 💯

    I might add that it’s also good to master each building type. There are windows that you can climb and poke enemies. Fragment has these air-conditioning units that you can stand on. You can suprise enemies by not climbing up the stairs.
