Why are my single fire guns reloading after I fire 1 or 2 rounds of a full mag?

I will be using a PK or a Hemlock and after firing just one round or two max it will automatically start reloading and often gets me killed during gunfights, is there any fix to this? I see this ques...

Since switching to a PS5 controller, I have had to deal with opening my map like ALL the time when I'm reloading in intense fights.  I've gotten really good muscle memory for tapping the touchpad again now when that happens!

    @pandareno1999 I've never done this. I can't comprehend it. My biggest issue is accidently switching to single fire when putting down a heat shield.
