Why does nox destroy electric fence??
So you trap an enemy team in a little building, But no, nox gas comes through the wall and destroys metal traps. Stupid decision. Shouldn't affect it whatsoever.

All defensive characters need a buff.
That Caustic does or doesn't destroy fences is second to that BOTH characters need help. So does Gibralter.
Nearly every single game I'm in has a Pathfinder or Octane, probably half my games have both. This is bad design, but a typical game company mistake. If you make an ability that is good ALL the time, people are going to take that. There isn't ever a time that increasing your speed isn't useful in Apex legends.
But fences, traps, gas and shield repair (a really SLOW shield repair) are only useful in certain situations. A giant dome shield that can be seen for miles and an every now and then bombardment are also only good in some situations. Maybe better in combat but they don't have you pick up loot faster or get through the map quicker. Gibralter's shield doesn't even save you from the storm, which is pathetic, since it is temporary and immobile anyway.
Epic needs to face that they've made a typical mistake in a team game, in that they put too much credit in the team based abilities of the defensive characters, and haven't thought through enough the abilities of the offensive characters. I don't think the offensive characters need a nerf.
But all defensive characters need to be buffed.

The defensive abilities are great.
Gibraltar’s dome shield is literally indestructible, and he can revive faster when inside. His ultimate is good for a congested spot or just in general. Throw it on top of an enemy squad and they will be forced to move or take loads of damage. Gibraltar’s dome shield shouldn’t protect from the zone, as the zone is supposed to reduce the available space to fight in.
Yeah, some of the abilities are more niche than others, but take a look at Mirage. He has some actually good abilities, and they work in most situations, but he just isn’t used much because his abilities don’t help his team at all.
If the defensive characters are good at defense, then let them be good at defense. They aren’t supposed to be specialized for offense, but they still work ok.I hate to say it but Mirage hasn't been used since Octane. Mirage was the other go-to solo character besides Pathfinder, until Octane got better than both of them for people who just run and gun and drop by themselves.
