Why hasn't this been implemented yet?
I had 4 games in a row where i died only because i couldn't find an armor near me while enemies did(even blue or purple). You already did a good thing in a past ltm where everyone landed with a white...

@Cro_Pittt Just keep in mind it goes both ways, you'll have rounds in which you land on purple... Plus I don't think it will be that big of a deal. If you all start with the same something, isn't that the same as everyone starting with the same nothing? those who land on purple will still have an advantage.
@DarthValtrex No it's not the same simply put.
You and an enemy land next to each other and there's two supply bins.
Yours has a helmet, syringes and a couple of shield cells in. His has an alternator, some ammo and a white bodyshield. You're basically guaranteed to die regardless of any skill gap unless a miracle occurs.
Now the same scenario takes place, except you both land he grabs the alternator however you both have that white body shield and you're running a p2020. The odds are you may still lose that fight, but now you have an opportunity to win it rather than being insta deathboxed.
@DarthValtrex As @MandatoryIDtag already told you, it's just a thing that gives you the possibility to fight even if you don't find a gun, eventually you may end up dying anyway but at least you had something you could defend yourself with. I don't mind if the enemy lands on purple shield or a mastiff and i don't get a gun, but you know you will not be knocked right at the start of the game. As it stands now it comes down purely to RNG. Who's luckier wins the initial fight, no matter what. The ltm they made some time ago was great because everybody had the same gear at the start and if you were better than the others you could kill them even if they've found a better gun, it was very satisfying too.
- @DarthValtrex No it is not the same. I actually agree with the whole dropping with a gun thing.
There is another option to avoid the initial RNG.........stop hot dropping.@hayhor Not always that simple,you can avoid a traditional "hotdrop" point, leave the ship and when you free look back there's 2-3 squads on you.
Then some genius decides to land on your hand and so the RNG roulette begins.
Which incidentally has just happened to me seconds after typing this post.
- @MandatoryIDtag It is pretty rare for me as I don't generally leave the ship instantly. Sometimes I even face backwards and look for places no one went that are good for loot but might be close to others we can fight after. What a concept I know!
Then there are the places no one goes, such as survey camp and harvester on WE or the diving boards or water treatment on KC.
