The buffs to it are just amazing and you don't need a choke anymore! Then there is the increased ammo on snipers. I'm not sure that was necessary but it does come in handy for those really long snipe off rounds that involve multiple squads and lots of shooting.
@DarthValtrex@1ronKeysmade a thread about it referring to the change as the one good thing from S6 even tho he also listed other things in other threads but this one was specifically for the TT.

@DarthValtrex Honestly, I've hardly had the opportunity to use it in a match.
All I'm finding is longbows and sentinels everywhere.
Literally haven't heard or seen a single charge rifle either...not that I care but yeah. XD
Wow it's taken a lot of you a long time to realise how good it is, been using it since s1. Strong at range (even without choke) and good close range.
