In a 1v1, if just one bullet doesn't land, I'm dead. I dunno people are just pulling off things in platinum now I don't recognise from seasons ago.
If this is what platinum is like now can only imagine the insanity being pulled off in the ranks above.
It really does feel like people don’t miss much, if anything. The majority left playing, at least at levels like Plat, are people that are sweaty. Lots of very sweaty 3-stacks, even in pubs. There’s not a lot a room for casuals in this game. So that dramatically squishes the skill gap.
Then the hit registration can be abysmal at times. I’m pretty convinced people have figured out how to manipulate it somehow. I fought someone with a Pred badge, 250 something, in a Pub match 3-stacking, and the first ten shots didn’t register at all! Like they walked slowly around a corner, nothing fancy, literally gun out, walked slowly around a corner. I waited for them, they knew exactly where to look, I beamed them, but nothing registered until after like 10 bullets.
The other big issue is that most players still playing are using Controlllers with Aim assist. It’s looking for hit boxes, not character models. I think that’s a big reason why people made the switch to controllers, and why people say it’s a lot easier to be consistent with them. 20 tick servers. As a mouse user, I’m forced to find peoples hit boxes for Way Too long sometimes. It’ll take the server several milliseconds to register, so I can’t tell if I’m missing, or how much to lead. Even someone sliding 50 feet from me, I have to lead my shots in front of them like 5+ feet. The game doesn’t feel consistent to me, so it feels incredibly hard to improve.
