Why is season 6 so hard??

I've played over 200 games and still can't get a positive kd. This is the worst start to a season I've had since I started playing the game a year ago. I've slowly been improving each season but as soon as season 6 landed its like the difficulty has been seriously cranked up.

I'm still playing and I will keep playing but it's getting a little boring now cos each match I struggle to get more than 1 kill. Can you imagine playing for hours and hours and only getting 1 or 0 kills per game? I'm only still playing cos I literally cannot find any other game I like.

The skill based matchmaking does appear to be a lot less forgiving this season, I've been struggling as well to keep a positive Kd/R this season and i'm usually sitting at about 1.5.

I don't think it helps that I play as part of a pretty casual pre-made team, we tend to get about 3-4 Master / Predator squads minimum in our games every time we drop and it's very frustrating to feel like we're the worst players in every lobby we're in.

  • @Marge010  Try 10 minutes a day in firing range using the weapons you like.

Its just a quick warm up before you play, and you'll gradually find recoil control easier over time.

  • I don't care about KD and stats like that.  I either get wins or otherwise have some fun.  So far, I've seen no change in that.  I got 3 wins day one, and last night won 3 times in 6 or 7 games.  I have my good games.  I have my bad games.  Third party still seems to be the going theme lol

My friend is totally obsessed by his KD, and his has actually gone up.  He already had a good one, but the lower TTK seems to seriously suit his play style.

@E9ine_AC Actually I am with you. I play because I enjoy the game more than anything. If I have a win that was really slow and boring but something weird happened I still like it. If I have a game where I was frying and die I have fun.

@Marge010 I'd avoid the spitfire for close up fights. It tends to fire too slow. Flatline is quite fun but tends to be harder to control. I love running a flatline myself but will only use a spitfire with a 2x for enemies at a little range.

You should really give the volt a try. Seems very easy to control for something that does a ton of damage in one clip. I'd also recommend a havoc, even without a turbocharger.
