In 2nd video it mentions a developer officially stating there is no EOMM at timestamp 0:55
Then at 1:36 it mentions ELO system. Basically players lose and win hidden points on game outcome to measure skill rating. That means it is measured over several historical games. That is EOMM. Can't rate a person's skill from one game.
Won't be measured by total kills, rank 500 or overall sum of stats.
It is one or more of the below.
KD over last X games
Average damage over last X games
Average kills over last X games
0 kills and 0 deaths
landing off/suicide the map on purpose when you have low rank team mates
etc
Just wish there was visibility what which one(s) above are utilised for calculating skill rating. Perhaps giving this information out would negatively impact by players trying to take advantage or something.
EA's EOMM patent which the developer said is not in use in Apex also lowers your ELO if you have not played for X amount if time in order to make you feel warm to the game again.

For me I feel it does match making based on last around 5 games.
But nevermind SBMM or EOMM etc. As long as I know "how" my rating is calculated it might feel more justified on "why" it is implemented that way.
