So people do not always have to follow the jump master ?

@ZD4000 So that you can unfollow the stupid person who decides to hot drop and die instantly. Well, it goes both ways. Some stupid teammates decide to go solo jump in the farthest corner of the map and play loot simulator, then die and ping like a madman. It's not the problem with the option given, rather with people who abuse it.

I didn't expect the 1st response I had is such an insightful one.
Me myself is someone who found the solo jump option unmissable.
I know, this is a team game, and I tried to play with my solo queued team mates in every game, but sometimes I got insanely mad by the mad jump by those stranger jumpmasters.
I guess, I have no choice to risk another consecutive game with 2 randomly matched players to hot jump or weird jump ( sometimes you match with a new player and they might not give the jump master to others and jump to some really weird spot, like the middle of no where lol )
Yes, I just want to make sure I have a game that could go more according to my plan and that not wasting my time and let me enjoy more fun time with this indeed brilliant game designed by Respawn.
For most of the time, I would solo jump to a quiet location, have a look at the ring, plan where to loot, try find a Charge Rifle with a 8x scope, plenty of shield and health, couple of grenades, some blue, purple, or even gold protections, and go and find enemy.
Yes, some people complain about the battle pass and the challenge system, I find the challenge system very interesting.
It seems lots of people I queued with do not have that much time to play this game, they probably do not have a battle pass ( well, maybe because this is an EA game that people just refuse to pay any money to EA, poor Respawn ), and they just play for fun, well player like me with a battle pass, would pretty much like to have the final level 110 reward so I invest lots of time to play and I also try to finish the battle pass as early as possible so I would be more focused on the challenges.
I guess I have no choice but to solo jump sometimes
Finally, for me, 60% of a good round is when I solo jump and had some decent solo fight in the final top 5 stage, while like 40% of time is when I got the chance to play with my solo queue squadmate and fight together to the final top 5, but still there is no much team synergy, they may not even speak the same language as you do, and I cannot have my mic working in Apex Legends, and my solo queue mate might have a terrible mic, or a voice and background music I found unbearable.
Sometimes I feel pity for the situation this game is in
but still, I think this is my favorite game in recent years

@ZD4000 Hey btw, duos is coming on 7th so maybe friend someone who synergizes with u and you won't have to worry about randoms anymore. I have stopped playing with randoms(mostly), I always play with my regular squad. I try to tell randoms what to do if they are doing something stupid like not taking a better body shield that I pinged. If they don't listen, I just call them out for being a fool and they leave the game lol. If their mic is loud or has background noise, I first ask them to turn it off . If they don't, well I mute them with a text saying 'Muted *' 😛 and then proceed to ignore him for the rest of the match. That's all I can do with people like that.

@ZD4000 I don't get it, why ask such a question if you already use it on a regular basis and know what it's there for? Just to tell everyone how you like to solo drop in a safe spot and loot all game before camping with a charge rifle, or is there a point here that I missed?

And for the suicidal jumpmaster thing, are you the type to sit in a corner masturbating while the game auto selects whatever for you so you don't get jumpmaster? Because I've played with literally hundreds of these types who avoid jumpmaster like the plague even if they're lv300+ and the most experienced in the team, but then refuse to follow me wherever I drop because it's a bad choice according to them even though they made no effort to suggest anything better or do the job themselves.

@Pretzelnutcake I let my legends auto select in the character selection screen, not for the purpose of increased fapping time though, or a deep seated fear of being JM. I just pick a legend each day and use them, if somebody takes that legend i don't care who the auto select picks as i play every legend. >.>
If people don't wanna be JM there's an option to pass it lol.
People on apex get aggravated by the weirdest things. *shrugs*

@MandatoryIDtag Well this one thing has been my pet peeve since it became common around S2 ish, I'm ALWAYS jumpmaster, and that's not even me exaggerating, doesn't matter if I'm first, second or last pick I'm always the one making the call, and what happens when I make a decision my now very active teammates don't like? Well...I don't have teammates for much longer that's what happens. I can't recall a time where someone too lazy to put in the effort for something as simple as a character selection was a good teammate or even decent player, they're always liabilities who die in the most stupid ways before tilting me with that obnoxious ping spamming or just leaving without giving me a chance to react.

People picking during their turn has become such a rare treat that I get as excited as I do when I eventually win a match once a year, and i go in ready to play as best as I can which means no unnecessary yolo (which to me is like no drugs for a crack head), I follow them or suggest the safest way to proceed by hugging high ground and looking for low risk opportunities to strike etc, but that's a one in a million scenario so what I'm usually thinking as I see the map is "alright *, I'm here for a good time not a long one" and just B line it to capital or Mirage voyage or wherever the most bodies are, if I get a single kill it's a good trade but if I don't I'll just leave and retry.

As for passing the jumpmaster, if someone disagrees with my suggestion then what I'll do is pass it to them, which they'll almost immediately pass to the third who will then give it back to me, like some circle of life * or something so yeah, it doesn't work. Bottom line is, people I play with have no spine to be jumpmaster, no balls to follow jumpmaster, and no skills to survive by themselves either, and I'm supposed to be the suicidal bot with the * K/D but here I am, surviving and using my head and * while the people watching anime during the pick phase are already down/dead and gone..
