Why my teammate got more points (3x , 4x) than me in ranked Arenas?

I mainly play ranked Arenas and currently Platinum 1. Yesterday I played with friends one of them had Platinum 2 rank when we begin our matches. Immediately we realized that he gained 3x , 4x more points than me after winning matches. With after couple of matches he passed my rank (which I was higher than him when we begin playing together). He got Platinum 1 first then Diamond but I am still staying at Platinum 1. 

What is the logic behind this ranking system? A lot of matches I got the most kills, revives etc. All other conditions were same. Why I am still Platinum 1 and he gained 2 rankes at the same time (from Platinum 2 to Diamond 4). Losing is same, i lose much more points than I gain or his loss. 

This was the motivation why I keep playing Apex but now I am frustrated and discouraged to continue grinding. I already bought New cod game. If there is no logical explanation to this for sure I will switch my main game (currently Apex).

    @quickqua Ranked arenas is broken and needs attention from respawn, the mode has been neglected and left to die. If they give it an update, and fix it, the mode has great potential, but right now it’s trash ngl.

    @quickqua Game forces me to switch to a new game, I will listen till they fix these things in the future.

    I think I figured out a solution to this issue... I was reading a few posts on this topic and learned that within your first 30 games of the season after placement matches u must win as much as possible in those 20 to 30 games. That will maximize the 90 to 110 RP u recieve. After those 25 or so games your RP starts to drop and after about 120 to 150 or so games u start gettin 12 RP per win.

    Before I get into the solutions of this problem MMR sucks... its a hidden "Match Making Rating" of every player and effects how u are paired with teammates and how u are paired against foes. It doesn't effect RP per win but it should.

    High MMR will put u up against masters n Preds but if that's fair to Apex then my solution to also satisfy the players is to Rank Up players with high MMR's or grant VERY high RP per win. When I say Rank Players up mean that if I'm in Plat but my MMR makes me play against Masters n Preds then I should either also be a Master or Pred by default or recieve Humongous RP for winning against them like 500RP per Rank of players 2 levels higher than my Rank. Example if im Plat n go against 1 Plat wraith 1 Master pathfinder N 1 Pred Horizon I shud recieve 500RP for the Master n 1000 for the Pred being a total of 1500 RP for that win which would definitely place me well into Diamond and that would give anybody the drive to grind arena. HOPE APEX SEE'S THIS 😁
