Why no action taken about AMD problems?

A lots of people reported issue specifically with RX580 cards, but also lot of people with other AMD cards.

The game crashing with AMD errors, or BSOD, in various stages: menu, splash screen, landing, etc.

We tried all solutions across the web, but nothing helped.

Also I (and others) tried out different games (for me: ETS2, ATS, Marvel's Spider-Man, Fortnite, etc.) and have no issues on Win 10/11, and with older or newer driver (WHQL or not WHQL).

It's happening since S12-13, and no fix.

Why? If it is one game then not the driver at fault, but the optimalization of the game.

  • Just to note it's not only older cards. My wife and I have RX5700 XT and we crash regularly. No problem with any other game or Apex before one of the patches a while ago. It's definitely Apex.

It's so much Apex that we will crash (while playing together) within 30 seconds of each other.

Lack of communication from the team is incredibly disappointing.

  • Today I reinstalled my windows. It doesnt help. And now I noticed this topic. Game isnt playable now. My game keeps crashing even after reconnecting. 2 crashes in a row in normal now

  • It's extremely hard to find the cause with driver causes.

This requires a lot of data collection from users encountering, even then, it's mighty hard to find the cause.

Even if it only happens with Apex, it can still be related to specific software or AMD due to Apex using a specific thing which stopped working due to a change with AMD's drivers.

If they find a solution then I'm sure they'll let everyone know that it's being released soon, though for these kinds of issues it can take a mighty long time to pinpoint it.

I'm also playing on an AMD based system and I never encountered this, which shows it's not purely AMD related.

  • @brotherjelly Sometimes getting patches rolled out take a bit of time. They have to 1. figure out what's happening, then 2. put together a hot patch and get it on the servers.

They also have to make sure the hot patch is going to fix it and not create even more issues. Give them some time to work it out. Keep in mind the Devs are human too, just like you and me.
