Why Skyhook or Capitol City?

So as someone who prefers to drop in an area where no one else is, I'm curious about what draws other players to heavily contested areas - especially Skyhook and Capitol City. What is it about these two locations that makes you so drawn to them?

Also, while we're here, what's your favorite place to drop and why?

I personally love geyser because 9/10 you'll get armor and a decent gun and normally will only have to deal with, at max, two other teams.

Happy posting 🙂

Sorting Factory is always my first choice if jump master, The tree is a good rotation.

Lava Fissure rotating to Drill site if permits, is also a good one.

I hate anything highrise and confined, never seems to end well, and makes it that much harder to recover banners.

@ProbablySinningI def understand that. But it’s not the ‘ohh I want to get kills quick’ what @Silz616 keeps hammering on about that I’m interested in. If I wanted that, I’d just play high speed TDM. I like honing my skills by way of having multiple variables engaging all simultaneously. 3 variables are for example 1 squad, one cargo bot and another is loot. In most cases this is what most people have. This is boring because you can use that cargo bot as a lure to draw them in and kill them.

The more variables in play, how more active your brain becomes until it becomes too much. For example an unheard enemy shoots you from behind in a small room and you have to adjust to the situation knowing precisely where he is to shoot, factoring the fact you are already hurt, the weapon he’s using etc.

Fighting multiple teams I find endearing since I have to position myself in the game AND inside multiple ppl. ‘How will they walk’, ‘who will they shoot’, ‘are they any good at multi squad fights’ etc and this all happends in split second while you have to keep your own witts.

I’m not trying to be Shroud. Heck, if you said his name to me last year I’d be like ‘who?’ cause I don’t care for streamers, pro’s and such. I’m a scholar, I like engaging my brain. Simple one on one is boring. Squads I’m already versed in, so still not much activity in the brain which in turn doesn’t change to ‘play better’. So next step is multi squad battles :D

oh right, let it be known that I have no idea which one is which and I rarely play ‘norm apex’, I just commented on multi squad battle part instead of the location and hotdropping (which I seldom do). I do go places where I know other squads will be

@ProbablySinningI don't always drop hot either, but I also don't like dropping on the edge of the map where there isn't a single person. I would rather drop where enemies are and have an engaging game(even if it means dying), rather than drop at the edge, do nothing all game and win. I've done that and its honestly the most boring thing ever. You aren't going to improve and get better at the game if you're avoiding fights and not engaging.

  • Sorting factory has the best combination of loot and players to kill.

Capitol is just a 3rd party bonanza....skyhook i really don't get personally... its usually dead when i go there and aside from skyhook itself having a high spawn rate on a blue/purple shield the loot is usually trash.

  • i drop only in zones with epic loot.

oh the real question, hot drop to die in 10 sec or drop away to loot and die in 10min?

with the hot drop you practice to keep calm, with drop away the loot locations and nice spots.

the battle between people who want to kill vs people who want to win still on.

  • Cause that's where all the partying goes down, skulltown denizens up in the big apple now 😎
