Will Apex Legends be optimised with the new Nintendo switch 2 hardware?

Will Apex Legends be available on the Nintendo Switch 2, and will it support 120 FPS gameplay on that platform?

I’m interested in knowing whether Apex Legends will be optimized for the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2. Specifically, I’d like to know:

  • Will there be a version of Apex Legends released for Switch 2?
  • If so, will it be enhanced to support higher performance targets, such as 120 frames per second (FPS), assuming the hardware allows it?

This information is important for me and other players considering playing Apex Legends on the new system. Any details on future platform support, performance improvements, or cross-platform compatibility would be greatly appreciated.

También me es sumamente importante saber esta información, ya que de esto decido si me compro la nueva consola o no. Si fornte saco en algún momento ea podría hacerlo

  • I just hope Respawn gives us some information today or tomorrow about NS2 version. If it is not ready yet, I download NS1 version tomorrow for my Switch 2 and check if it will run any better. Theoritically it should, but if NS version has 720p resolution and 30fps locks, it can't achieve higher numbers than that without NS2 patch.

Happy NS2 launch for everybody 😎

I really hope that we get the update soon. It’s unfair that I play 720p 30fps vs other console players with 1080p and 120fps. It is also hard to notice players on long range with that resolution.

  • Switch 2 indeed runs Apex better than NS1, but hardcoded limitations limit how good it can be. Now it basically runs stable 720p res and 30fps all the time, without hitches and dropping frames or resolution drops. It's kinda nice, but of course with proper NS2 patch it would be a lot better. 60fps would be transformative for this version, but atm Switch 2 can not deliver that because of hard coded fps lock. (I assume this, but in my eyes framerate can't go over 30, so there must be limit, and it's not 60).

For now, it's better, but we wait to hear something about Switch 2 support. Could Split 2 update bring Switch 2 optimizations? That's my hope at least.

Can someone tell me a date or a time apex legends will be optimized or if it will even be optimized because apex legends is the main game I will be playing on nintindo switch 2 and if it is not optimized I don’t see why I should buy a nintindo instead of an Xbox series s

We don't have any date, because Respawn/EA is silent about possible Switch 2 version atm. It can randomly appear any time or it will be months before we get update... We don't simply no yet how the situation goes forward. Just hoping the fast support. Switch 2 is pretty amazing device and good version of Apex is high on my "most wanted patches" list.
