That's a fairly good point, and I think I let the frustrations of people misdirecting personal blame here blind me to that somewhat.
EA has not only a history, but a continued acceptance of prioritizing greed over quality and that's something that continually worries me with regard to their influence over the Respawn team. :-/
Everyone can get a refund for this as ''seasonal pass'' and ''seasonal battle pass'' are implying the same thing. The word battle is irrelevant.
EA support will initially refuse (claiming some legal loophole because of wording or it being hidden in the T&C covering themselves) but just call out how dishonest it is to advertise in such a deceitful way while being persistent and they'll eventually give your money back.
As they can't change/remove in-game items or currency, you'll still be able to complete the pass while retaining your coins from end of season to purchase the next pass too.
I did this in S1 and had free BP to date. If they remove anything from my account now they'll prove they were lying as i kept all the chat logs.
Shoes on the other foot for a change... EA got EA'd.
