Will I lose my stuff?

Hi, so I have an Xbox Apex account that I played on during covid, I didn't have a PC yet, or even an email because I was still young. My dad let me use his email to set everything up. About 2 years later I got my first PC (also my own email from our service provider Shaw), since I spent almost no money on Apex back then, I only had some twitch drops and the battle passes. I then switched to PC, I didn't really care about losing out on the stuff I had since it was so little.

Since I switched to PC I've hardly played on that account since. I've been playing on my main account (pc) since I switched. I got very invested into Apex after, I have 50k + kills, 8 heirlooms and a ton of skins (Every blue Item unlocked) (probably $1500 spent) and thousands of hours. I am wondering if I am still able to link my Xbox account (dads email) with my PC main account (my email) The only reasons I really want to do this is so that I can play my main account anywhere + I have some rare stuff and a PK skin I really liked one with crystals (I main Maggie so It would be even better)

All I want to know is...

  1. Can I merge/cross progression my PC and Xbox accounts?
  2. If I do, will I keep my main accounts stats and items, and will it add my OG items to my PC account?
  3. Is there anything that could go wrong? And If there is, can it be fixed by EA support?

I just really don't want to lose my main accounts items. I have so many memories and money spent on it, I don't think I could deal with losing it.

Thank you for any replies/help I get. If an EA helper sees this please chime in, because hearing it from someone who actually works for EA would be even better since it is 100% correct.

So you're saying that If I link my Xbox account, to my PC account, I will not get any of my OG Apex Items onto my PC account? Like linking it via the image below?

I don't care about any of the stats that I have on my OG account, since I only have a few thousand kills. I just care about my items/skins from the battle pass and twitch drops.

Dudleycars No, your Apex progress is stored on the EA Account level, (not on Xbox), but if you had meant playing with your Apex progress from your PC's EA Account on your Xbox Account, then you would need to link your Xbox Account to the same EA Account that you use to play on PC.

No, you won't be able to transfer, (or merge), your Apex progress from your Xbox Account over to your PC Account since the Xbox Account is linked to its own EA Account, (which the Apex progress between two, (or more), EA Accounts cannot be transferred, (or merged)), but if you had meant playing with your Apex progress from your PC's EA Account on Xbox, then, (as mentioned above), your Xbox Account would need to be linked to the same EA Account that you use to play on PC.

Yes, things can go wrong, (and it usually happens when you unlink a platform account):

    What are the risks?

When you unlink a platform account from your EA Account, you can link it to another EA Account, but your game progress won’t transfer over.

That means you’ll permanently lose access to:

    • game progress
    • DLC, expansions, and anything extra you have for your game
    • memberships and subscriptions
    • previous drops and other rewards
    • in-game purchases.

Unlinking risks for Apex Legends players

If you unlink a platform account that you use to play Apex Legends, you might have issues with Battle Pass leveling, item unlocks, and other errors.

If you happen to lose some, (or all), of your Apex progress, your only option is to relink the platform account back to its original EA Account, (however if nothing returns, then it is sadly lost for good, (which EA's Support Team won't be able to restore the missing/lost Apex progress)), but since the platform account being unlinked is the Xbox Account from your Dad's EA Account, then the only Apex progress that would be missing/lost, would be the Apex progress that you had abandoned already when you had switched over to PC.

Please also keep in mind that once you link your Xbox Account to your EA Account on PC, the risks of unlinking the Xbox Account later is still there, and, (last I've checked), each EA Accounts can only be linked to one platform account of each type in its lifetime, (so if your PC's EA Account is already association with a different Xbox Account, then linking your main Xbox Account to it may not be possible).

Here is more information about Cross Progression as well:

I do not work for EA or for Respawn, (I am a volunteer), however I can double check this information if needed.

Feel free to ask any more questions as well.
