Will keyboard and mouse on console ever happen??

I think it would level the playing field to have k&m support on console. It lets players improve their gameplay and get overall better. With the price of PCs right now it's very hard to justify spending two grand on one. I just think it would be more budget friendly and over smarter

  • @Venularmouse54 Hey there, I do not think it is something at this time going to be supported. Being on console it would give you aim assist with mouse and keyboard movement.

As for the buying a pc set up you do not need something fancy to play apex. In fact its requirements are not high at all. A simple 700-900 dollar pc would suffice and be just fine. Buying used makes it even better and cheaper as well. PS5 costs as much as a normal computer to play apex if not more. Which is why I kind of find the price comparison stuff a little funny as a console cost as much as a pc that can play games just fine.
  • @E9ine_AC you would not get aim assist on keyboard and mouse, because you can play with either on PC. The aim assist for controller on PC is the same as the aim assist on console. It take way more then 900$ to get a similar PC performance to a Xbox one s.

Just a bit of a heads up when it comes to consoles and how the HID devices been implemented (atleast prev gen) is that it has high latency as its not primary input device... My daughter started with mnk on fortnite using PS4 and it took 3 days until she was screaming and we ended up running Nvidia Gforce Now instead with a much greater success, lag now and again but in general worked really well and input lag was soo much less 😉

It might be cool to have there just for chatlog if you date use that, and perhaps next gen consoles got a bit better HID priority for mnk so it might work if included.

@Venularmouse54Funny I shopped around looking for package deals. My pc came with a Ryzen 7 2nd gen CPU 16g of ram an m2 drive a motherboard and a copy of windows 10 for 550. I then paid another 200 for my 1650 super GPU. This plays apex perfectly as well as other games that have launched to date. Sure some settings may need to be lowered for some games but overall play the games with no issues. This set up also allows me to stream and play the game at the same time.

If you are going out and buying some pre-built overpriced machines sure it could cost more. Those who take the time to shop around will find a pc that can run Apex with no issues. People assume because the big streamers use the top of the line it is required to play apex. So for around 750 with tax adding up to around 810 bucks, I beg to differ in saying you can't buy a good pc for that price. Retailers do sell build-it-yourself kits that come with specific things where you can then shop around for the missing key piece such as my GPU.
