World record longest game??

Had a mixtape TDM that lasted 3 hours 13 minutes today. 

Enemy team abandoned until two guys just kept hiding in corners on The Core which is ridiculously big for a TDM map so couldn't find them. Eventually just went AFK to work and wiggled controller every ten min to not get kicked. Came back at one and game was over and after match summary said time survived 3:13:28 so game lasted over 3 hours.

2 questions:

1. Is that a world record?

2. Is this how Respawn really intend this game to be played?

No end game timer seems very basic and elementary but I suppose it's funny on multiple levels. That they ratted that long, that I actually waited that long, and Respawn logic.
