Yes, its all servers. Its been a long time problem plaguing this game. No point in having a choice of server hubs, you get thrown in wherever
you get put.
These are the Apex Server locations:
US – Dallas, St. Louis, Salt Lake City, Oregon (4 data centers), Iowa (4 data centers), New York, Virginia (2 data centers), and South Caroline (3 data centers)
I play west coast, Oregon servers and ping 17-28. Central server are 65-75 ping and East coast are 85-95.
I am constantly getting thrown in EST servers with pings of 80+. This has an array of issues from mass lag spikes to shots not hitting to the point where you see them
hit, and audibly hear them hit, but get no hit registration. I've got videos of strafing to my left and hitting a guy with every shot and not 1 hit reg lol. Man its frustrating!
I often Video my play just so I can go back and see exactly what happened.
I find ping definitely makes a difference in how smooth actions feel.
As I stated earlier, the servers have always been an "Issue" that countless people speak of. We cant do anything about that.
I think like many things with this game, we never get feedback from EA/Respawn/DEVS on anything, and people notice that in a big way.
I do believe if there were more communication with the community, it would send a better message.
Not saying anything, and letting the community stew and have issues fester the way they do, is counterproductive. That's why so many people truly believe
that they just don't GAF .
