I agree with you, I hate this mode...
I just avoid it now.
When it came out, it was fun. Now, I find it dull, especially if the Havoc is your opening weapon (seriously, it has to be the trashiest weapon in the game without the old focus beam)
Control and TDM are much better.
Still, my favorite alternate is Winter Express. But that's only on for, yknow, so long.
