Here is biggest difference between premade and random trios. Premades they know to stick together after initial looting. Chances are when you bump into another enemy it can become 3 against 1 most likely as randoms love to run off solo. That's how they always win. When one person in a premade goes down, the rest actually care. Randoms go into rainbow siege mode and crouch walk around corners or carry on looting.
Premades firstly stick together after initial drop loot spread. Randoms don't know how to stop, listen in new areas before looting.
If you really want good randoms:
- Before dropship communicate over mic. If they don't respond. Quit
- If they're playing loud music or not taking parental responsibility over their baby crying in living room. Quit.
- Trying to rap/sing/say nonsense. Quit.
Just quit the lobby before drop.
Yea you lose a lot of time. But quality is better than quantity of repeated death drops. Soon as you hear 2 team mates willing to communicate....it makes a huge difference.
If they refuse to listen and still pretend to be 1v3 Pro YouTube Wannabe. They're your bait and you're not their personal revive assistant. Up to you to decide whether to safe revive or grab banner. At that point most of them quit anyway.
Play as a team. But if they don't, then you don't have to either.

@PeterN_UK Totally agree and I do Quit to Lobby in pubs for all those reasons. Solo queue is actually better than playing Trios with my brother for those reasons as well as matchmaking reasons.
As a solo, the lobby is typically filled with solo squads closer to my ability. As a pre-made duo playing trios, we almost never get a higher skilled 3rd able to carry us and it feels like we die in humiliatingly quick fashion to 3 stacks 90% of the time. Even when we are able to win a fight or 2, neither of us feels that great about it either.
My brother and I also seem to be worse together, not better. We never approach situations the same way and one of us is always getting caught unaware, separated, or over extended. That's on us but is only made worse by the level of competition we get matched against.
Playing trios as a premade duo is just an impossible ask, I guess.
