Tired of being bullied by this game's sbmm. I'm playing for 4 hours now casual and ranked and EVERY time i get teammates around lvl 20 to 60. Is this what i'm paying for? A level 254 and a kd of 1....

Thanks but I tried ranked and did not have much luck there either.
Also I don't mind playing with people who are new to the game but 4 hour straight? That's beyond broken...
And how does the game expect me to win with new players against people with 20 kills badges?
At this point I see no reason to buy another battlepas or even to play another season...
If they don't want to fix what is broken then i don't see the need for them getting paid.
That would be a shame to drop it now since a new map around the corner and described as a "lush city" so could be an more urban environment. I am thinking "Angel City" from Titanfall 2. Perfect example of ground and elevated battles close up and long sight lines too.
Every season feels like minor updates but a new map will be major. You definitely DO NOT want to miss that!!!
You'll have to accept that gradually Apex is designed to cater for lower skill ceiling, which is the majority of players - casual. So mobility of characters are kept limited in this game. It's not like Unreal Tournament 2004 where you can do some insane dodge moves. It is easier in this game for someone to get a lucky shot on you, even if you had good team mates by third party battles.
In ranked mode soon as I got my Diamond dive trails I couldn't progress solo anymore. So I just play solo public and 1 in 10 games I'm in a good squad. Just patient and don't quit with low rank team mates on assumptions of their abilities. Within 10 games I am always paired with one rank 500 or two rank 500s, also only minority of my opponents are same, so it evens out. Even more now since cross play. That should be the case.
BUT if you're playing for 4hrs and never have a team mate above rank 60 like you said. That is VERY strange, maybe try a different server?
You've already invested yourself in the game and to be honest - What alternative Battle Royale would you go to?
- COD Warzone, Hyper Scape, Fortnite, Pubg, BF firestorm? Not exactly great either.
If you have been playing Apex consistently, it means you didn't like the other Battle Royale games.

But nah i'm gonna skip season 7 and see after that.

I got no problems with the game itself only with the SBMM and man what a bully SBMM is.

GG- @Mraverage1000 I've found levels do not always show the player ability. Sometimes you get a smurf. Sometimes you get someone that is actually quite good at this but just doesnt play much. Then you have people that you judge on one game but they just had a bad one. There are lots of times people probably wonder wtf I am doing in game as I make plenty of mistakes.

True. People assume too much from ranks. They could just be non regular players that play other games. Banner stats are individual per character and not overall, and sometimes they don't choose their main where biggest stats sit.

I still think that is odd after 4hrs the highest rank team mate you ever got was 127. I am not trolling that I often get at least one rank 500 team mate like 1 in 7 or 8 games as team mates. When I look at dive trails, max I ever seen was 2-3 squads red dive trails. You should try next couple of servers in ping latency list, it may be different experience.
Yes, most of time you may have to carry 1-2 but there will be times you will be carried by someone yourself. Keep playing and remember the good times and not the bad times. Yeah this was the worst matchmaking I ever had.
But maybe your right about the servers.
Also I don't mind getting carried it actually feels good to know you got a teammates who can do the heavy lifting once in a while.- @Mraverage1000

Try other servers. i.e. one day try 20 games on one server then move onto next to access different pool of players to see what it is like.
What server do you connect to by the way? - @Mraverage1000 I would say that you just had a bad server/unlucky matchmaking. I have usually 8-9 bad squads in a row then get a great one for the win or a top 3. Hang in there. Maybe wait until the new season starts and give it another go.
I play on EU servers.
And yeah i'll see to switching around the servers.True but i'm just going to take a break from the game and see then.
It could have been bad luck like you and others said but it feels more broken.
Going to wait and see what they are going to do with the game.- @Mraverage1000 From what i heard, most of toxic players are within EU region. You might want to try Japan server, a wholesome community you will find there. But the players barely speak English ā¹ļø
Don't think Japan is the solution xD I think I would have way to much lag there š
But yeah we got some real 'friendly' people here in the EU.

I played on Japan server. They are too campy and not aggressive you won't like that style.
Reason probably they are not toxic is that they never use mic :D Actually they are MOST friendly players in terms of sharing loot and pinging information. It is in their culture to be so.
But yea some lag to the point sometimes I have to press key twice to open the door or I've teleported 30m behind a cliff or something :S

First: Eat some oily chips
Second: unmute mic
Third: play apex
Fourth: get killed due to you not being able to properly play with filthy hands
Fifth: get teammates killed because of your incessant chewing of chips OR they muted your pings & voice so they dont know where enemies are xD
aka self sabotage xD - @Mraverage1000 I also at level 500 13k games played 3k hours into it get those team mates as well. It happens sometimes even quite bit through out the day and night. It does suck at times having be super try hard every game in public matches. It sometimes feels even like im in plat ranked match where just everyone can beam everyone never missing. Including these level 60 or below players.
I can say a vast majority of the low levels i get prolly around 60% as i solo que most the time as its funner for me find new friends that way where we as players just click together knowing what to do when to do it. But a lot them are cracked. Sometimes mini little demi gods or something. Then sometimes they just blah.
I accept it because i had to go through the same thing. I was low level playing with these big baller people being cussed at through out the match in coms for not being as good as them. Apex is the very first shooter ive ever played on PC so believe me i was horrible. I had to do it the hard way where people had no filter it was rough where i just muted till season 2 +. With that being said I would rather be better then that to make people endure what I have. I learned this was not the way that helps people learn or understand things. (Not at all saying you dog people) just they do get it from people at times. New people are new they have to grow as we did and learn the rights and wrongs of apex which take quite some time to get down. I want to know if you reinstalled yet? :D
Hmm last couple of days the match making has gone a bit wild for me for EOMM//SBMM whatever
Most games 1-2 kills then suddenly two games I'm getting 10-12 kills. Repeat.
I'm not getting any games where I'm getting kills between 4 to 9 kills at all. It is from one extreme to the other. Looks like there are too few in the mid tier pool of players.
Yeah I reinstalled it yesterday to see if it was maybe just bad luck like some said.
Yesterday I had some ok matchmakings (switched servers a few times) but wth is going on today?
Had some real friendly toxic players calling me the N-word because I did not jump right at the start (was looking at my phone for a sec) even though they where the jump leaders first and passed it to me (both of them).
And the rest is somewhat the usual but whatever at least this time i had a few lvl 500 with me xDTrue every new player needs to learn.
I don't mind playing with low level's a few time's but there are moments that it's like the only thing you get and that the fun is just not there anymore.
And it really get's frustrating that those high level group players with 20 k badges get thrown in the same match how does that even seem balanced?- @Mraverage1000
Good you reinstalled.
I have Netflix/Viki on 2nd monitor when landing/waiting respawn too š It is a habit from World of warcraft days of grinding.
If Apex is your main game and you constantly play it long hours daily without mixing it up with other casual games you are bound to get stressed out!
I mix it up with some open world games or less competitive online multiplayer games.
It is the way of things that literally 6-8 games you won't enjoy and you'll have to hope for that one that is pleasant. In regards to name calling it might be better to just turn off voice and text chat altogether.
Just play using ping system only if it makes it more comfortable. Might as well and just treat as casual.
When this club thing comes out to make it more social and later on Karma/endorsement system, it will serve to weed out toxic players. @PeterN_UK Yup, mixing it up is important. I usually play sandbox games when im burnt out on FPS games as they're just considerably more relaxing.
Usually try and make a point of not playing any game at all for an hour or so before I sleep, gives my brain a little time to settle down lol.
