On console it's a big problem, bigger than most people can see or admit because it's only present when you do well in matches and consistently survive longer. The longer you live, the more damage you do, the more you'll ge matched with cheaters via the game's rigorous SBMM.
CronusMax, XIM, strike packs, mouse & keyboard, etc etc.. There are tonnes of ways people cheat on console, and they actively do it on Apex. It is currently, without a doubt, the single worst game I've ever played for cheating. I save clips all the time of teams mowing me down, and I spectate them to find that their recoil doesn't exist on any gun, not even 1mm variation.
The issue is, the developers:
1) Keep quiet on the issue and don't acknowledge it
2) Have removed all methods of reporting players on PS4
3) Are profiting from the cheaters buying skins and streaming, so they probably want it to happen by this point
So people like myself and millions of others (whether they know it or not) are getting shafted every game by little lowlife gimps with their cheats, streaming and boasting about their false 20-kill badges, teabagging deathboxes despite killing people with anti-recoil mods allowing for laserbeam accuracy, and there is sweet FA that we can do about it but come here and cry salty tears :')
It's a horrow show, the saddest state of affairs in gaming in a long time.
