0x887A0006 - DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG

Hello! I'm running an RX 580 8 GB, with 22.5.1 Adrenalin Edition drivers (latest)
my GPU is not overclocked, I even tried underclocking it but the issue isn't fixed
this issue started for me and many others with the last patch we got during season 13 a week or two before season 14 came by, I've seen many say the issue was fixed for them but all of them have an NVIDIA GPU, and all the AMD GPU users still seem to face the issue, when will a fix be coming for this? it's extremely frustrating especially when streaming as it freezes the whole PC completely instead of just crashing the GPU driver when Apex Crashes, I've tried underclocking my GPU, disabling spot shadow detail, lowering texture streaming budget, playing Windowed, doing a clean reinstall of my GPU driver using DDU, disabling XMP in BIOS (disabling XMP actually seemed to make it go away for almost a whole day and a half but it came back, not sure if it fixed it for a bit, or if it's just pure coincidence), tried installing the game through Origin and playing from there since I play from Steam mainly, the issue wasn't there on the first day through Origin, but on the 2nd day it was back.
If anybody has a fix that works for them, let me know, I am so sick of this error and I'm not sure why we get no news about it as if it's not a big deal, I mean sure we can play, but it's not fun when you are half way through a match just for your game to get randomly frozen and crashes your whole GPU driver, especially when it happens mid-fights too, or in Ranked.

  • Heya @Kiranuu,

It's possible that the newer drivers were causing some instability, could you try downgrading to some older versions to see if that resolves it?
