100% CPU usage/ frequently crash down

This has been an ongoing issue since I fixed the issue with the .rpak files not being read. As far as I can tell, this issue is unrelated to that.

Issue #1: Crashes
My first game every day will always crash at least once, sometimes more. Sometimes it will continue to crash every 2-3 games.
I haven't found this to be much of an issue because I can just relaunch it but sometimes it does crash when I'm the jumpmaster, leaving my teammates to drop solo without me, usually sabotaging their game. (Sabotaging was probably not the right word in this case but oh well)

Issue #2: CPU/GPU Usage
Ever since Season 10, Apex has been using 100% CPU and GPU in the menus on the lowest graphics settings.
I have followed 5 or so guides to hopefully resolve the issue and nothing has worked. I've cleared shader cache, updated drivers, deleted EAC and reinstalled it, even outright reinstalling the entire game.

CPU: Intel Core i7-7700

Motherboard: Asus Prime Z270-P
Ram: 32 GB
GPU: Asus Nvidia GeForce 1070
Platform: Steam

I have heard from friends that Origin crashes a little less than Steam so when I reinstall it there, I'll give it a try and let you know if it makes any changes. In the meantime, let me know if you have any suggestions for the problems. Thanks!
