Friend @wiseolddude, what kind of software runs in the background. In my case source of the random stuttering with my RTX 3090 was the NZXT Cam software. Got rid of it, and set fan curves directly in BIOS. Also, any RGB software controllers running (from ASUS, Corsair, NZXT etc.)? They can also mess with system's latency significantly. The RTSS and MSI Afterburner are safe - do not cause any stuttering. Since then, no matter if I NVIDIA Reflex is turned on or off, I have a butter smooth gaming experience with following configuration: RTSS FPS cap 185 on 200 Hz monitor (because Reflex enabled involves NVIDIA frame limiter with 189 FPS cap, which cannot be disabled without disabling Reflex). Also, if you have newest RTSS and quite high refresh rate (144+), use "front edge sync" in RTSS. This will a) reduce your input latency - verified with CapFameX, b) improve smoothness of the game.
I have nothing that could cause the random stutter. It's the game/driver ma dude.
Honestly I think everyone has some form of stutter on apex at this point. It's just ppl tolerate such low standards that it becomes their new norm and think its fine.
Willing to bet if everyone played with a frametimegraph up they would notice the issue MUCH more.
