Thanks! I appreciate that.
Looking through the DxDiag I didn't see anything that jumped out as a likely culprit. The only thing that stood out was that your PC is registering the microphone for your webcam as well as the mic you have connected via USB.
Just to test and see if it makes any difference, can you try disconnecting the webcam to see if the same issue is still happening after that?

I have tried that and still nothing unfortunately.

Thanks for giving it a shot for me.What happens when you shut down Apex Legends? Does your mic continue cutting out, or does it stop happening as soon as the game is no longer running?

Thanks! I appreciate the details.
It's definitely odd that it would only be happening during an actual round. What's your in-game audio set up? Did you make any changes to the voice chat settings?

No problem and no all ive altered is the volume in game, etc, nothing that could possibly mess anything up from what i know.

I wonder if this might be a problem with the game data itself. Have you been able to try repairing Apex Legends in Origin to see if that makes any difference? If you right-click on the game in your Origin library you'll see a Repair option when the menu comes up.
Let me know if that makes any difference at all. Thanks!

No worries, thanks for following up.
Do you have the Origin in-game overlay currently active? If so, can we try disabling that as well to see if it makes any difference? I've seen some cases where Origin in-game can cause some weird issues.
If you open up the Origin client Settings and click on the In-Game tab you should see an option there to toggle Origin in-game on or off. If it's currently active try disabling it and see if that helps at all with your mic in Discord. Let me know what happens once you have a chance to try it out.

Hey @UN4GOTTEN-GAMER,
I'd like to see there's anything else we can try that might help fix this issue. When you have the chance could you share a DxDiag so we can take a look? For more information on how to pull one up check out the EA Help website.
Once you have the DxDiag file please attach it to this thread. Thanks!

Any news on this?
Only mic problems I have are when I play Apex. Crackling in Discord begins as soon as the Apex loading screen appears. I've tried disabling everything you mentioned, still crackles. - 5 years ago
Hi! I would like to add to this, as I am experiencing it too, and it is still an issue.
Analogue mic through a USB Focusrite interface, working fine in everything unless Apex legends happens to run, in which case it starts cutting out, but only in Discord.
Listening back at the source is clear, recording it is clear as well.

Hello, gonna join the party aswell
I've had the same problem, where as soon as apex opened up my mic started crackling on discord. By looking a bit through it I found that the bug was due to Voicemeter and to solve it i had to stop using Voicemeter for my mic, which is unfortunate since it sucks, Voicemeter helped quite a lot, but anyway, I solved the problem for myself, and if you also use Voicemeter or any other program the serves the same purpose you should maybe look into it. - 5 years ago
This has started happening to me over the last couple days as well, all the same symptoms and have tried the same solutions. I’m running a Blue yeti microphone through USB seperate to my headset as I like to do recordings from time to time. I thought maybe it was an issue with the microphone specifically but seeing as others are having the issue with different mics, that doesn’t seem to be the case.

It's just an amp/audio interface since it's a cardioid mic.

Having the same issue here. Though I found a workaround which works for me.
I do the following:
-launch the game
-alt-tab
-go to the windows sounds settings, recording tab
-go to my input interface, advanced tab
-change my sample rate, hit apply, change it back, hit OK
-restart discord.
It helps. But sometimes it does not if I have specified certain buffer sizes in my audio-interface driver.
My specs: win 10 pro 20H2, Focusrite Scarlet 2i2 2nd Gen w/ a cardioid mic.

I also have the same interface and I am having the same problem. Tho I play other games and I have no problem when I play those games and use discord.

With season 9 update it's not an issue anymore when I start the game. But, after some short time in the game it comes back. I also use FSE tweak (aka Fullscreen Optimizations) for win10.

Why the issue haven't been fixed yet?
