Apex Cross Progression- Newly Linked PlayStation Accounts are valid?

Hello, what happens in the following:
I had my Ps5 account linked to another EA account, but because cross progression is coming to Apex and I want to play my PC progress on Ps5, I unlinked my Ps5 Account from that another EA account and linked it to this, my actual EA account with my PC progress. Even if I lose my Ps5 progress, it's worth for playing my PC progress in my Ps5.
 But now I don't really know if my accounts will be merged, because Apex said that " Secondary Accounts created after 26 October will not be able to merge", but my Ps5 account isn't new created, it is years old. Pls help with this, I don't wanna lose any progress and I want to be able to play my PC progress on PS5.
