- @KoRnyMohfo The next time it happens i would suggest for you to search the apex program on the windows event logs, there you could see what caused the program to crash, if you can post here we can have more details and try to resolve the problem!
Crash information is stored in the sub category “Application” under “Windows Logs”. The two event sources that describe crashes are Windows Error Reporting and Application Error. - @GustaGODDD Thanks for your reply, the only thing i can find is that it loads Easyanticheat and unloads it successfully, there is no events or application errors.
I am having the same exact issue.
My first remedy was to verify the integrity of the game files, after that didn’t work (all files verified successfully) I proceeded to do a clean install of the game application from steam. That also has not worked.
Now I find myself at this thread, doing as you’ve suggested. Brief summary of my event logs:
Start Apex > event log: [SYSTEM] shows easy anti cheat installed in the system ^New Line: Easy anti cheat successfully loaded.
In Apex: settings > audio tab > game closes
Event Log: [SYSTEM] shows easy anti cheat unloaded successfully.
Note: no other logs within that time frame were made in any other sub-category (application, security, setup, forwarded events).
- @TRIBALassassion It has to be the strangest crash i have experienced, usually there is audio que and message when crashing. Nothing with this one and the considering it is the same. Did you have any trouble before this last update?
Prior to the update my game was working perfectly fine. Post update the audio tab worked at first. At a later time the game was crashing on startup, something about it not being able to define the audio output for the game. Turned out the game needed an update but I found that instance strange as steam usually does not start games and crash due to needing updates, it instead tells you there is an update before hand. It is a bit of a nuisance as my open mic now is permanently turned on and I have no way to adjust that in game.
- @TRIBALassassion Funny mine is the opposite, i have to press T to talk to the teammates in game which is rather difficult when moving around in apex.
@KoRnyMohfo
I had the issue yesterday, all u have to do is- Type “saved games” into your Windows search bar
- Open the folder
- Open the “Respawn” folder
- Open the “Apex” folder
- Open the “Local” folder
- Find your settings file and delete it.
- This will reset all your settings and the game will stop crashing.
It was something related to surround audio option in my case.
hope this helps.

i tried it but it dosent work for me at all. i even deleted the whole folder.
- @V4Meo Same i just tried, crashed instantly!
