I only noticed this today. It was not happening to me the last time I played. I couldn’t play the game at all because it kept freezing when I move my mouse. Some threads suggest to lower the dpi. But it doesn’t work even if I lower it

All, this happened to me out of the blue and I found all of these posts and have been trying to reply to all. See below for what fixed it for me.
TURN OFF OVERLAY AND NOTIFICATIONS
EA/Origin app somehow turned on the in game overlay and notifications. I turned them all off and this fixed the problem.
Playing Apex daily and was fine, high end PC, no hardware or settings changes. This somehow got turned on and/or is erroring out for some reason.

Yes, this seems to work.
TURN OFF OVERLAY AND NOTIFICATIONS ON EA APP.
For me, I had the new EA app downloaded automatically and since the app had overlay option ON, that caused this issue. Turning it OFF from EA app settings did the trick for me at least.
