Is gifting not available for apex right now I can’t gift it say unavailable and I have coins?

Why can’t I gift at Prestige lvl 2 so I have to be Prestige lvl 50 to gift my boyfriend what is this lame function? Does this game think I’m actually below lvl 50
@BaddieSnipez If you're trying to gift someone an item in Apex Legends, gifting is sadly disabled at this time.
If this is a problem for another EA game and/or title, which one are you having issues with?
