Apex Legends Character randomly stops moving while running around

Question

Just simply running around my character will stop moving for a second. I have to re-press W to continue moving.

Although my gut tells me it’s connection/network related, nothing else in the game stops, stutters, rubberbands or lags at the same moments. So a firefight can be buttery smooth but as soon as I start running it may feel like something randomly grabs my feet!

It doesn’t happen all the time, but very frequently. I have a good, strong, wired gigabit connection and average a solid 20ms in games. I have a decently strong PC, 9700K and RTX 3070, 240hz monitor (frames capped at 170), and don’t experience any video lag.

Please help! It’s ruining the game for me

I am also having this problem when I move it stop for a sec then moves on. I have a good pc with a 3060. I have tried restarting my pc but nothing works. Please Respond if you know how to fix.

Just started experiencing that tonight. Literally infuriating because it does it frequently and of course it does it in fights.&nbsp;

@EA_AticThanks for the reply! Forgive my ignorance, but I’m not sure what you mean by “input setup”, what would be an example of such, and the software?I may add that it doesn’t happen all the time. For example, last night it was perfectly smooth for 2 hours, and then was horrible for the following 2 hours. Same ranked mode, same party members etc.thanks again!!
