I'm also using 2x 1080 Ti in SLI although I'm not sure this is really related.

just update the drivers on your vieo card. it worked for me

I had this issue in the past. I had lowered the texture streaming budget to 'None' in game settings. Game kept stuttering and crashing after that change.
Ideally, your texture streaming budget should be close 80-90% of your GPU memory, otherwise major load goes on on-board graphics in CPU for rendering the game and the game crashes when CPU can't provide enough resources. So, keep your texture budget around that range. Let your GPU do the heavy lifting (the only job it was designed for).

Since early April I have been receiving a crash alert almost every time I close the game after playing a round or two. It doesn't seem to happen if I do not play a match before exiting. The client does not crash during game play.

@Lakario, that's a crash in Microsoft's C RunTime (msvcrt) called from inside Microsoft's speech API (sapi_onecore). It happens after our code has stopped running. Since the crash is in Microsoft's code called from Microsoft's code after our code stops running, I don't know that we can do anything to fix it.

@OrioStorm I have text-to-speech enabled for in-game chat. Is that likely to be related to the issue?

@JadedYeti, unfortunately, we can't do anything about this crash, since Apex is not crashing. The text shows that some 3rd party DLL is crashing, but somehow Windows isn't able to tell us the name of that DLL. There is no "R5Apex" mentioned anywhere in the report, meaning our code never ran.
So, this is some 3rd party software that is injecting itself into Apex and bringing Apex down with it when it crashes. Some possible candidates are:
- Drivers (usually for your graphics card)
- In-game overlays
- Speech communication utilities
- ???
Sorry I can't give you any more information.

this seems odd but i have a overclocked 5820K and never had a crash with apex. maybe it could be effecting only some generations of intel chips? 5820k is haswell E. are other haswell chips having this issue?

Game keeps crashing after its loaded into game right before jump is about to begin. I have a 2700x, x470 gaming plus mobo, evga 2070 ultra. Keeps saying it runs out of vram from time to time as well. I have 8 gig vram and i have the graphics pretty low. Everything is basically on the lowest setting possible. Origin overlay is disabled for this game, along with gforce experience is disabled!

I have my cpu overclocked to 4.5 ghz and GPU OCed as well.- 6 years ago
@TheImmortalEnt, unfortunately, even with all that info, Windows still doesn't pinpoint the offending DLL, so I can't say for sure what is causing that crash. I would guess the graphics driver first, but it could be any other module that's loaded with Apex that creates its own thread.

@Octopushy we have a potential fix for this crash working its way through our normal release pipeline, but it isn't live yet. It is related to text-to-speech.

Also getting this crash at times
@acidhax, I found I could right click on your image and view it in a new tab so that it was large enough I could read it =).
That error is something that should only be caused by a corrupted data file. The fix would be to reinstall / repair the game. I'm honestly not sure what options Origin has for this.
@acidhax that's an odd crash. It looks like it's in code that shouldn't run in a retail game, and it looks like it's using invalid data.
At this point, my best guess is that you have a corrupted data file, and that reinstalling or repairing should fix it.
However, I think even then the game still shouldn't run this code. Do you have any non-standard command line options on your Apex shortcut?

@OrioStorm Hi again, after reinstalling crahes stopped but now, I`ve got weird image problem... I have around 120FPS but it feels like 15FPs, it`s laggy and drops frames for no reason...
Down below my last post:

Hi,
I`ve searched though this thread but my crash code weren`t here. I will copy it down here. My CPU and GPu aren`t overclocked.
I`ve played for like a month, and crashes started appearing yesterday. 2 weeks ago i switched from Asus R9 380 to Zotac gtx 1070ti mini. 3-4 days ago I`ve updated my Bios.

@zaxus99 I don't know for sure what's going on with your machine, but I have experienced high framerate feeling like low framerate in many games. I believe that is caused by unstable frame times. Let's talk about 100 FPS, since that makes the numbers easy. For 100 FPS, you average 10 ms per frame. Ideally, each frame takes 10 ms. But if one frame takes 20 ms, and the next 2 frames take 5 ms, then you also average 10 ms per frame, and you show a solid 100 FPS.
However, from the game's perspective, it predicted that one frame would take 5 ms to show up, but it really took 20 ms to show up. That feels like a slow frame, since you see it way later than expected. Then, the game predicts a frame should take 20 ms to show up, but it takes only 5. That feels like a super fast frame, since it shows up way earlier than expected. So, even though you're getting 100 fps, you have a really slow frame followed by a really fast frame, which feels super choppy.
If this is basically what's going on, capping your framerate should help the game feel smoother. In our example again, if you capped your FPS at 50, the game would feel buttery smooth with every frame taking exactly 20 ms. In your case, even capping it at 100 FPS instead of 120 FPS may get rid of the jolts that make it feel choppy.
Now, I really don't know what would be causing your framerate to fluctuate like this. One cause could be other programs running on your PC that periodically take CPU cycles away from Apex. There are some spikes in how much work Apex does each frame, but it shouldn't be so bad as to cause the behavior you're seeing, and we haven't noticed the problem in our own testing.
So, unfortunately, you're going to have to do your own experimentation to see what's causing your framerate to feel choppy. If you figure anything out, I'd love to know, so we can maybe use that info to make the game feel better for everybody.

@APEX_test_bot_1, that's a crash in an unknown DLL that created its own thread. The most likely culprit is the video card driver, but it could literally be any third party code running inside Apex that creates its own thread. Unfortunately, Windows didn't tell us the name of the DLL, so I can't tell you exactly what it is.
- 6 years agoYes, I noticed that the Nvidia Geforce Experience interferes with the operation of the game .. I disabled the auto-optimization of the game in the driver settings - as long as there are no flights, everything is fine ...
