Hey, sorry for the late reply. Looks like the issue fixed itself, I got a patch yesterday and this "player bug" stopped for both me and my friend. Thank you for the help!

Can we try running through some troubleshooting steps to see if we can help fix the issue you're seeing?
When you've got a chance I'd recommend starting off with the basic connectivity steps over at the EA Help website. If you're still having any trouble after that check out the PC-specific steps as well.

I have been having the same "player" glitch the entire time i've been playing apex. I can play a couple games, but randomly it will kick me from the party i'm in and won't let me re-join the party. when i restart apex, my name and level do not show up and it says "player" there instead. In the main menu screen i can see all of the various pings for each server so it's clear my game is connecting, but for some reason my profile won't. this glitch has the nasty habit of letting me play a few warm up solo games, but as soon as i get an invite from a friend, i cannot join and the "player" glitch will happen. sometime this will last five minutes, but more often than not, i cannot play for the rest of the day.
Another glitch happens when i try to load into the game. i cannot make it past the main menu because i am "unable to connect to EA servers" even though it CLEARY shows the ping and packet loss of every server. If i load up another online game of test my internet connection, i can play perfectly fine. This is a problem with APEX, not my system and not my internet. I honestly don't know why i still play.
This is beyond frustrating as i have spent more money in this game than any other. Please fix this. I'm playing on Ps4.
This glitch is getting worse? I can play two games at max and then it will kick me from the party i'm in. I the checkmark over my rank will be there as if i'm readying up for a game, but when i ready up it says "player not ready" and then when i close apex and reload it, i get the "player" glitch. fix your game
Yea me too after the bangalore collection event update i can even get into the game anymore.
I have this exact same issues. Apex has been basically the only game I’ve played since launch. I’m lvl 500, just got heirloom shards so that should tell you how much money I’ve dropped on this game. Oh and yay I didn’t even get to make or play with my heirloom. I seriously can’t believe this *. PS4 player too.
