I had just finished downloading Apex Legends and launched the game, yet after the anti-cheat ran I had an error involving Lightning strike with a 0000000 Hex value. I presume that the anti-cheat detected a program I was running, and now believe that what triggered it was the RivaTuner Statistics Server application, an MSI program that lets me monitor my hardware specs in-game. I have no cheats on my system and was just wanting to try this game for the first time but was disappointed to see that the game detected a non-cheat software as a cheating software. Is this issue resolvable at all? Thank you.

This .exe is releated to ASUS Aura software which you also have to uninstall/completly disable. I assume its pre-installed software that you got when you bought your PC/Laptop and theres even possibility that you actually cant disable or uninstall that so you wont play because Easy Anti Cheat sees that as an cheat some sort. I dont own any ASUS Hardware so I do not know how these executables and services are named so you have to search in google and manually disable them in msconfig - try to run Clean Boot it should help.

Easy Anti Cheat blocks RTSS.exe and sees it as an cheat engine. You have to either dont launch it when you play or even uninstall it completly from your PC. EAC is notorious and known for stuff like that but you can try update Afterburner to newest version that maybe is whitelisted I said maybe because they also are known for not updating their * at all. You cant use it while playing games with this anti cheat.

I uninstalled RTSS. rebooted and I launched the game, still saying "Game Security Violation Detected (#0000000D) [LightningService.exe]
I have no idea what this is, any ideas?

I had the same issue, i uninstalled afterburner and got the message about lightingservice.exe idk what that is, but i used task manager to open fole location, end the task, then i deleted it. My game started right up after.

I also have this problem, i find it stupid i need to uninstall some programs from my pc because of cheat engine bug...

I use Asus Aura and have no issues launching the game. Doubt it's that. (i do have my lights on static though, if that makes any difference)
i have uninstalled RTSS though, previously, in favor of nvidia inspector to limit my fps.

Just launch task manager and right click LightningService (32 bit) and end process

Dont uninstall aura. Just press the windows key and type msconfig then press enter. Go to the services tab and find lightingservices.exe. disable it and restart computer. Your lightning will still work and apex will open.

to all who has this issue STOP TURNING OFF RIVA TURNER! update to the latest version. then open riva click add. go to where your origin folder is and add EAproxyinstaller to the list as well as origin.exe and originclient service. then set all three as high detection raster 3d framebuffer and (ONLY) ONLY ONLY ONLY SET EAPROXY WITH CUSTOM DIRECT 3D support toggle. you may not need all three added to the profile. but MINES WORKING SO GOODLUCK, and your welcome if it does for you
