Where is my Progress? - An Apex Account Overview
This blog is for players who found that their Apex Account "was reset back to level 1" and other progress issues.

If you find yourself in a situation where your Apex Account was reset back to level 1 or missing significant progress, here are a few common reasons:
1. You are signing into the wrong EA or platform account:
We all make mistakes, (and sometimes we forget which email we used to create our accounts). It happens! Just sign in using the same EA or platform account you had used before in the past.
2. You are signed into the correct account, but you had unlinked a platform account:
Apex Legends stores all game data at the EA account level, rather than each platform having its own data saves.
This means that when you unlink your platform account from your EA Account, you are breaking the connection between your stored data on the EA Account, and your platform access. It appears your progress is gone, but actually your platform is just unable to access the progress.
To reconnect your platform to the progress, you just need to make sure your platform account is linked to the EA account. You can do this by managing your connected accounts from the “Account Management” settings.
Apex Legend’s progress can not be moved or transferred between different EA Accounts. Merging two different Apex accounts together is also not possible.
You should only unlink your platform account from an EA account if you're intending to start fresh on a new account as there are various risks associated with unlinking your platform account:

3. The EA or platform account you had played on previously was banned prior to Cross Progression rolling out:
When Cross Progression was rolled out to players between October of 2023 and April of 2024, any banned accounts were excluded from the Cross Progression merge.
This means that even if you are signed into the correct EA Account, and still had your platform account(s), (if any), linked to your EA Account, your Apex progress from any of your banned game accounts was not included in the Cross progression merge.

4. The platform account was unlinked when Cross Progression rolled out:
Prior to Cross Progression, game progress was saved on an individual platform level. When Cross Progression was rolled out to players between October of 2023 and April of 2024, platform data was converted to account data.
If your platform was unlinked when your account went through Cross Progression, that platform data was not converted into account data. Unfortunately there is no way to recover this data.
