I started apex today and my account merged with my brothers and now we cannot play together. I started playing apex just after launch and at the time my brother and I shared an xbox. We each created apex accounts on our respective xbox accounts after sharing just mine for a long time but it always though we were the same person, for instance if i created a club it would say that we are both the leaders. We could still join each other and buy stuff separately but since the merge today we can no longer join each other. Has anyone else had a problem like this and does anyone know how to unmerge the accounts.

This sounds as though both of your Xbox accounts are linked to the same EA account. You can verify this by checking your account connection page to see which Xbox profile(s) show up: Customer Portal (ea.com)

How did you fix this? I am having the same issue. We have Xbox accounts linked to one EA account and it is not allowing us to unlink one or the other

Hey, I was having the same issue and I was just curious if you found a solution. My brothers and my apex account linked because both our psn were on an ea account and it doesn’t let him unlink mine. Figure out a solution?

So there’s no possible way to unlink the accounts to allow them to play with each other like they could initially? I’m having the same problem but with a former Roomate and we both have lots of money invested into this game and neither one of us wants to have to start over on a brand new EA account, if this can’t be fixed for those effected then a lot of loyal customers will be lost sadly

@DeathReaper128 I have the same issue. 3 Xbox accounts were merged, each belonged to a family member. I am not able to unlink them and the individual accounts list badges and such.

I have this same issue. Multiple gamertags on one xbox were linked without any consent on our part and all automatically due to cross progression, to one EA account.
I have contacted EA support, who not only have been entirely unhelpful, but blamed me for having my account hacked, then told me I was violating their terms of service by having multiple people use the same EA account. Completely incorrect, infuriating, and insulting. Clearly we could never have played the game together for years had we shared the same account the entire time.
Now I can no longer play with my brother, we have lost our individual apex progress, and we have no solution in sight.
Their only proposed solution is that we unlink the accounts, making one of them lose all progress. This is not a solution at all, not to mention I'm sure then one of us would be banned for smurfing.
The actual solution is that cross progression should never have been mandatory, and that in these circumstances each individual xbox gamertag needs its apex progress restored, then we can link each one to separate EA accounts.
I am incredibly disappointed.

Have the same issue when my ex and I made our account on apex somehow they both got connected to my ea account and it never allowed me to unlink them so we just let it go cause it wasn't affecting us playing and we had our own xbox accounts and everything. Then it forced us to so the cross progression and then he got all my stuff that I paid for over the years since season one. I honestly feel that ea should have gave us the option on if we wanted cross progression or not instead of forcing people especially since we spent our time and money on this game.

On apex I had lots of kills on valkyrie and since the merge thingy I merged with my brother and lost ALLLLL my progress. I really hate the merge even tho now I basically skipped a whole bunch of levels which is ok ig but I've lost my kills!!
