My windows 10 is in English (US), but my keyboard is Portuguese (ABNT2), I tried to run as administrator, both the anti-cheat and the game executable, but this didn't work.
this has happened to me in PUBG that also uses Easy Anti-Cheat, but it was not always the way it happens when opening Apex Legends.
The way I found it to fix this:
-In Windows settings;
-In Language settings, in your language already configured, click options;
-Add the US QWERTY keyboard layout, and then remove it.
