apex had a recent update for new consoles (Xbox series x) and now my controller witch works fine, isn’t showing as connected to apex menu. But I hit the home button and it works fine? Wth is going on 😭

Are you using a stock Xbox controller, or do you use a third party controller?

I have the same problem, is there any word on why this is happening? My aftermarket wired controller doesn't work only with Apex.

This is something we're currently investigating. In the meantime, I've heard this can sometimes help as a possible workaround:
Sign into a different account on your Xbox, then go to the Accessories menu under Settings. Reassign the controller back to your main account, then restart Apex Legends.

I played a few days the past week after the event started (and the next gen consoles had their updates) with no problems.
Got home after a couple days, plugged everything back in and Apex had an update. Now, I cannot load the game because it says my controller is disconnected.
Same controller as last week. No one else has played on here. Reassigning the controller didn't help. Now I'm reinstalling the whole game.
Must have been a bug with the patch. I hope this fixes it. I have a Series S and a Razer controller that works fine on any other game.
