Audio Bug (Xbox One)

In my experience on PS4 and PC, audio is random. I've been able to hear people walking across a field nearly 60 - 80 (?[a guess, but it is far]) meters out, but then, I've heard absolutely nothing when 3 people are a foot away from me, practically in melee range, just coming off of a Pathfinder zip-line, jumping and charging a precision choke peacekeeper in my ear. No sound whatsoever up until the shot happens, then all the audio seemingly re-appears out of no where and I hear a stampede that there is no way I could have missed if it were present before. I hope I'm not the only one experiencing this as it has lost me 3 first place finishes now because I get snuck up on by the final team when they are very clearly sprinting. It may have something to do with circle wall audio taking priority or something as an uneducated guess.
