Okay something you can tweak to lower the settings:
Open Nvidia control panel and go to 3D settings.
then in global settings turn ambient occlusion to performance.
Now go to the Program setting tab.
Find or add the progam Apex legends, it should look like this:

Apply settings like so, you may not have all these settings:



In game options:

and the rest off.
Be sure to reduce your resolution from the native resolution.
If you have 1920x1080 try 1280 720 for example.

Just wanted to do a check list makesure your not just turning everything off without knowing what improves performance.
- 7 years agoSo that seems to have sorted it. However - when I lower the resolution the brightness is really bad and therefore hard to play. But if I dont use a lower resolution it lags. Any idea?

I dont know why the brightness of the monitor would be affected.
Maybe switch between full screen and boardered?
