thank you for the response. I did exactly what you said and unfortunately it still does it. It’s so weird, I have even tried to uninstall apex legends and reinstall it, and it still does it.
It’s odd because the narrator is off in the Xbox settings and text to speech is off in Apex legends. Yet for some reason, when someone in my game party texts something through the game, my game freezes for about 2 or 3 seconds and then it says what they text, then unfreezes my game.
The main reason I uninstalled the game and reinstalled it is because for some reason about 6 months ago I started getting lag issues. Every 30-60 seconds the game freezes for 1/2 a second.
i know it’s not the Xbox because I have tried 2 different xboxes.
it’s not the Internet because I have had a tech out to my place and it’s perfect and steady around 900mb download speed and about 40 upload.
It’s not the Ethernet cable because I have tried 2 different cables. I am hard lined from the modem to the Xbox which is about 10 feet from each other.
i only have 2 games installed on my Xbox so I have over 3/4ths the hard drive free.
It’s also not the server, I have around 20 Ping and 0% packet loss and have tried over 20 different servers. I usually play on Dallas or one of the Iowa servers.
i have tried numerous DNS servers too.
it’s hard to play the game when it is constantly lagging for 1/2 second every 30-60 seconds AND freezes for 2 seconds every time someone sends text to speech.
I’m coming close to no longer playing, and it socks because I have spent 100s of dollars on apex legends
