Correct me if I am wrong but this article suggests that you open up NAT filtering, this open up your firewall - i do not suggest it
I fixed this! I went into my router's advanced settings and turned on port-triggering (not forwarding). See screens:

This did for me. My Asus Router doesn't ask for an start and end incoming port though, so I needed to enter it as range (37005:37015).
All seems fine so far.

I've done this fix so now it will let us play 2 or 3 games before it goes back and does the same thing. Tried turning off upnp and set port forwarding two all the same results then reset router and re set up this fix. Any suggestions?

I found that buying my new ASUS router, and using it as Auto port forwarding just selecting the game that I want to forward the ports to, automatically allowed me to play three computers when I couldn't play one before.

Actually, i have not had this problem recently. I did buy a new WiFi Router 6 months ago and did not have to do this setup on it. So I don't know if Apex fixed it, or if it was a symptom of my old router. I suggest trying to upgrade your router to the latest firmware, update your network card drivers, or i hate to say it, but replace your router. Also, make sure you have enough internet bandwidth. Sorry I cannot be more help. All I can say is that I don't have this problem anymore.

FWIW - I also have an Asus GT-AX11000 like the response above. I did not have to do port-forwarding though. Old router was a netgear nighthawk r8500 that eventually slowed to a crawl.
