I fixed this! I went into my router's advanced settings and turned on port-triggering (not forwarding). See screens:

Me and my dad love playing games together on PS4. Apex is our favourite right now. We cannot play together when we are on the same internet. It kicks one of us and gives code leaf. Any suggestions, been going on for months now .

@steinerg12 Are you and your Dad playing any games at all or do one of you get kicked straight away?
I play with my Son using the same connection on Xbone. We get plenty of games with no Code Leaf once in a while one of us will get kicked while in the lobby or end of game etc, never during play.
Trying changing ports on one of the consoles.
Worked for us.
