Can't link xbox account

I have tried to link my xbox account to EA and it says that i have already linked this xbox account to an EA account even though, i have never linked that xbox account to an EA account ever.

i just saw the email that comes up and its the exact same email that i am using for my current ea account.

Hi @destroyer7973,

Ok, that sounds like a good thing so. Your Xbox account is already linked up to your current EA account. Was that what you were hoping for?

    It says that my xbox account is linked to my ea account but on the ea website it says it isn't and i don't get any of the cross-progression on games either.

      Hi @destroyer7973, 

      Ok hmmm...Let's try something.

      1. Take a screenshot of the email address that's showing up for you on the EA website (don't share that screenshot, it's just for comparison).
      2. Next, log out of the ea website and try logging into your EA account on EA Help using your Xbox account. Here's how:
        1. Go to the EA Account login page.
        2. Choose to log in with your Xbox Live account where you play your EA games.
          EA Help sign-in prompt with first-party login buttons for Google, Facebook, Apple, Steam, Xbox Live, and PSN.
        3. Another pop-up will appear for the platform you choose. Log in using your sign-in details for that account. 
        4. If the account you sign into is linked to an EA Account, you’ll now be logged in on EA Help where you can view your account information.
      3. Once logged in, go to your EA Account and Billing Settings.
      4. Click on the About Me tab and view the email address that's registered. 
      5. Compare that email address to the one in the screenshot from the EA website.

      Are the email addresses identical?

        Sorry for not replying straight away,

        I have found out that despite it saying that my xbox account is linked to the same email, when logging in through xbox, it takes me to a different ea account. Do you know whether it is possible to merge the 2 accounts so that i can keep my cross progression from xbox apex legends over to pc apex legends?
