Uninstall reWASD
Go to file explorer
Then This PC
Then on the search bar
Type reWASD
Delete all files related to it
If a message pops up saying that you cannot uninstall it
then find the application in task manager and end task
try to delete every file related to reWASD
That should fix ur problem.

I also tried your solution and doesn't work for me as well for like a week until I try reinstall steam and it doesn't show the error again.
